How do I use the NETGEAR Nighthawk App to install my extender?

We recommend the following instructions for all other extenders.

How to install the extender setup

In order to establish your flexion

  • Plug your extender in there
  • The Power LED Candles.
  • Press the Power or On/Off button if your power LED does not light up.
  • Communicate your computer or smartphone to the WiFi network of the extender.

The proxy Core router initials (SSID) of the adaptor is NETGEAR EXT. Either the extender infrastructure has no password, or the password is the default password.

You may be informed by your computer that the Internet is not open. To be suspected, this is. Maintain a WiFi link.

  • Start a tab on the web and access mywifiext.net.
  • A tab shows the Netgear New Extender Setup.
  • Click NEW EXTENDER Setup, or toggle it.
  • To accept terms and conditions, press or tap YES or I Consent if asked.
  • Select the admin credentials of your extender.

These credentials are used to enter the parameters of your extender on a web browser.

  • We recommend that you leave the default user name as an administrator and select a password separate from your password for the WiFi network.
  • From the drop-down menus, pick and answer two login details.
  • If you lose them, these problems are used to restore your extender’s admin credentials.
  • Tap NEXT or click it.
  • Click or tap YES or Proceed if your extender asks if you would like to use the NETGEAR Genie to help.
  • Check for nearby WiFi networks using your extender.
  • Pick the radio buttons for the 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi network names for your network (SSID).
  • Click or tap See More if your networks are really not visible.
  • Tap NEXT or touch it.
  • Input a password for your current network and press or tap NEXT.
  • Pick the extender’s Setup and passwords.

By default, with _2GEXT tied to the top for the 2.4GHz band and _5GEXT for the 5GHz band, the extender uses the name of your current network. The password for each band is the same as your entire infrastructure by default.

(Optional) You have the option to use the same WiFi name and password as your current network with the mesh extenders. Click the Allow One WiFi Name check box to enable this option if it is powered by your extender.

This requires your extender to use the same password and WiFi name (SSID) as your current WiFi network.

Tap NEXT or touch it.

Your settings would refer to the extender. It will take a bit of time.

  • The WiFi network name (SSID) and password are included in the extender for each band of your extender. Take these notes.
  • Go to the WiFi settings on a computer that you plan to link to an extender network, and connect to a new network extender.
  • Go back to your search engine, press the check box at the bottom of the tab, and then click or select Finish.
  • Your extender is now enhancing the width of your network.
  • You’re not connected to the Wifi connection of your adaptor.

If the same WiFi network name (SSID) is often used by your router and inverter, follow the Above instructions:
